Dr. Indu Kumari Bharduaj
Principal
Welcome to Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Bahadiya, the pride of the entire Shakti Dham of Bahadiya. Situated between Ganga, the bestower of liberation (or Moksha) and Haruhar, the bestowed of good deeds, this college is resolutely determined to make our daughters self-dependent by striking the right balance between prayer and power. An affiliate unit of the Munger University, Munger, the college constantly strives to work towards the realization of the pious vision and grand dreams of its founders.
We shall have to impart technical education by embracing new practical and vocational curriculum along with strengthening our traditional education. Only then will the primary intent of the present education fructify. Our college is headed in this very direction.
Along with protecting and preserving its tradition, Women’s college, Bahahiya, is all set to enter the new era and take on the cut-throat competition of the education system. Apart from the traditional curriculum, it has ample provisions for other vocational courses. It also has a study centre of IGNOU.
In congruence with the underlying vision of “सा विद्या या विमुक्तये” (i.e. that which liberates is education), the founder, Late Shri Kapildev has always upheld the importance of women education.
Education and culture share a complementing relationship with each other. In view of this, the college has provisions for cultural activities as well as for sports. With the mutual consent and co-operation between the teachers, students and their guardians, we have also vowed to maintain the strictest of discipline. It is our sincere belief that without an iota of doubt, we shall be able to set the newest of records in the sphere of education. We have full faith on our patrons and well-wishers under whose able guidance, we shall be able to accomplish our goal by means of all-round development.
Fully accepting and subscribing to the preaching “सेवा परमोधर्म:” (i.e. service to mankind is the foremost dharma or duty) of the ancient Rishis, even under adverse circumstances, the teachers at the Women’s College, Bahahiya, which was established in 1982, remain ever devoted to the dignity of educational and discipline. Remembering the glorious past of this college, gazing at its hope-filled present and visualizing its future full of infinite possibilities, I extend my heart-felt wishes for the accomplishment of the golden dreams of all the students of this college.
